A wide range of practical topics are designed for bulders, architects, government officials, community leaders, real estate professionals, non-profits, Habitat affiliate staff and anyone interested in building stronger, greener communities.

  PRESENTERS
Steve Hewitt - City Administrator for Greensburg, Kansas, Steve was recently named one of Governing Magazine’s 2009 Public Officials of the Year and also 2008 City and County Magazine Municipal Leader of the Year. On May 4, 2007, Greensburg was hit by one of the largest disasters in U.S. history, after an EF5 tornado 2 miles wide struck the heart of the community. 95% of Greensburg was destroyed, including all government buildings, infrastructure, business district, school, and hospital. He is leading the charge for rebuilding ‘green’ and rebuilding a stronger/better Greensburg.

Mike Monegeon - Mike is responsible for facilitating the design and development of learning opportunities for the Partners in Sustainable Building (PSB) effort. The PSB project is a five year effort between HFHI and The Home Depot Foundation to provide funding and resources to help build 5,000 additional energy efficient, healthy and affordable homes.
