Workshop: Greening Affordable Housing

As part of Bay-Waveland Habitat's commitment to greener building, we're hosting a workshop that specifically addresses the special needs of building affordable houses in hot, humid climates.

Dates: May 11 -12, 2009

Location: Lagniappe Presbyerian Church, Bay St. Louis, MS

Cost: $50

  WORKSHOP SPEAKERS
Kim Vermeer - Principal, Urban Habitat Initiatives (UHI) and presenter for NeighborWorks. With its special focus on affordable housing, UHI is dedicated to implementing proactical applications of sustainable development--energy efficiency, healthy indoor environments, and environmentally responsible practices.

Nikki Seibert - Green Building Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity Sea Island SC, Nikki has directed the transformation of Sea Island Habitat's construction efforts to ensure all their houses meet EarthCraft and EnergyStar certifications.
